Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I think he's saying if Bez doesn't make this ski holiday work then the relationship is doomed

I think he's saying that if Bez can't bully his wife into going skiing, even though she doesn't want to, then the relationship is doomed. Especially, of course, if she can't bully him into spending his holidays lying on a hot beach and visiting spas.

My wife and I have been married over 40 years and I can tell you - the exact opposite is true. A solid couple can accept that their partner has different interests, and can do things on their own without it undermining the relationship.

Absolutely. It's sad when people are "joined at the hip" and so insecure that they can do nothing on their own. You see some of the consequences when women are widowed and find themselves totally lost, and incapable of travelling alone or driving across the country.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

My wife and I are chalk and cheese.
She hates all sport with a vengeance and her only physical exercise is walking.
I have participated in all sorts of sports throughout our married life, just retired from skiing, but still play golf, cycle, have a football season ticket will be back to the gym when it opens.
Probably pleased to get me out of the house Very Happy
Golden anniversary next year.

How many times has the ambience become Strained for everyone in a mixed Chalet holiday because of a Couple, with different Skiing/Boarding experience, seriously falling out due to being unable to compromise on the Piste time that they spend together...

As in... "You keep leaving me behind" // "Piste Time Is Precious...Keep Up!"

Around about Day 3, seems to be when a total breakdown in detente really kicks off... rolling eyes

It’s never going to work, skiing that is not the marriage.
Even if the OP does get partner skiing, is he going to be happy pottering around on green & blue all day.
They don’t sound like a natural so I’d be amazed if they progressed at speed & it’s down right unfair to take someone up a mountain & expect them to ski down on their own so you can go a better way to meet them.
Be careful what you wish for

You may have to wait a while... "In bigger news, my wife and I are postponing the 2022 trip until 2023 when we are going to go Ski Famille in Reberty."

Wouldn't be surprised if it never happened tbh, though that might not be a bad thing.
