Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Last year we heard the championships 2021 had been cancelled but it appears they will be taking place, although without fans.
For many snowheads and our love affair with the Dolomites, we'll be able to sit and watch the majestic peaks, untouched snowfields and probable blue skies.
We may even win a medal.

I know that some sHs like both skiing and Opera, so for them in particular here's a great video made to celebrate the upcoming FIS Alpine World Ski Championships being held in the stunning backdrop of the mountains of Cortina d'Ampezzo in the Italian Dolomites. Very Happy The singer Fabio Sartori is shown with the backdrop of the famous Tofane Women's DH course that includes a gap between two rocks, and the piano accompaniment to the soundtrack is played inside the Lagazoui cablecar! Shocked The championships start on 8th Feb and finish on 21st Feb.

It ain't over 'til the fat bloke sings!! Laughing

I remember riding the Duca d'Aosta-Pomedes chair up between those rocks during a practice session for Womens WC Downhill a few years back. Couldn't believe the speed as one competitor stretched around the gates and got air over that dropoff. Full respect! Shocked

Someone from here definitely needs to have words if he didn't! Laughing

(Though it did look like he took his helmet off to film himself with the mounted GoPro at the end.)

@luigi, impressive, but I think I prefer it Grahame Bell style with a semi breathless commentary as he goes, you learn more about the course that way.
