Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Carv - Yay or Nay?

Afternoon All!

Due to being terribly depressed at no Skiing action this year I have found myself continuously looking at all things skiing related and the Carv gadget has popped up.

Its selling point being you only need to pay for this once instead of continuous tuition and gives you constant updates in your ear whilst on the piste.

Anyone experienced using this gadget and what are your thoughts?

thanks all Smile

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

This thread https://snowheads.com/ski-forum/viewtopic.php?t=152014&highlight=carv has some thoughts of some users on Carv, both positive and negative.
I have had one since they first kickstarted (or however they launched) and have enjoyed using it, even though I have never really tried the coaching mode (skiing with others/ no headphones etc) Would I buy another set if I had to, probably although I'd like to try and get them below £300 and closer to the £200 I paid for them. The app has improved enormously and is available on android now (I had to use an old iphone to start with)
If you are not going to ski for a while, then you may as well hold onto your money and look out for a discount/offer. If you are skiing soon and have that sort of money to splurge then why not.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Looking back in my emails I paid £183 for them back in Nov 2017. So nearly half the price they are now. I have used them for around 1000 km of skiing (I have skiied more in that time but didn't always use them) I had to have the soles replaced after 3 years, however that was done free of charge without fuss when I showed the damage to the connecting cable. The new soles seemed to have a more robust cable, but I have only used them for one week.
