Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

@RedandWhiteFlachau, it's on my list. We looked spending a few days in Oberstdorf a few years ago, but ended up heading to Italy instead.

@Fridge03, it isn't, no.

No-one correct so far, though a suspicious number of people guessing resorts in my trip reports list wink ...the photo was taken by my brother and I haven't been there.

Time for a clue - this is one of the biggest linked ski areas in the respective country.

I wouldn't even know where to look for someone's trip reports Laughing

It reminded me of when we were staying in Soll and you head over to Westendorf. There's a sort of junction where you head up the other side of the valley, but it was a long while ago and a lot of Stroh was going down, so my memory isn't the best Laughing

@RedandWhiteFlachau, I think there are enough clues for @denfinella-like sleuths to work the resort out.
a “glimpse” of resort on right - there’s even a lift “pylon” in view partially obscured by the rock, certain kind of lift too.
@Ricky B, yes, those “Interesting geographical features” are seen from resort and instantly recognisable from O-level geography lessons

I've noted the moraine and the pylon, but no idea where it could be. North America? Can you tell us if there are any pistes from the top of the lift or not?

Well, obviously lots of lateral moraines in Zermatt but I can't at once think of one with a piste above in that sort of relation, if that is what you mean by a bit of resort (ages since I skied there). I assumed the slope above-right was a glacier. Seem to be some ski tracks middle left.
Still I'll guess Zermatt as something to say.
