well, just as a filler in, who can get this one?
Not a “ski area” as there are no permanent lifts. But there are some folk who go cross country here.
There is another nearby area (lift served) about 20 miles or so to the South |
Northern edge of the Cairngorms then ?

As I suspected, it’s the Lake District. And I’ve now worked out which bit - Blencathra, etc.

@Marksky, that's it. The three ridges in the foreground are the ones that run up from the A66 (which is just below the snow line) and you can make out Scales Tarn and Sharp Edge just to the right of the three ridges. Skiddaw at the back, top centre

@JHS, thought it looked like Skiddaw / Blencthra but no way that's 20mile north of Raise. Maybe 3 direct?

@Dave of the Marmottes, you are right of course. I was just making a guess to get a reply out. You are closer than I was with my guess. Looking at the map, from Wythburn Church to somewhere just North of Keswick is about 11 miles so if you take the end point as Skiddaw then about 11 miles overall, if you take the end point as Blencathra, then about 10

I thought people might spot the region (and then get the resort, if only by process of elimination), however, maybe that view is not quite as distinctive as many others in that area.
