I'll cheat and say Dognaccia 2000 which you mentioned back in Nov 20 as your only other resort.

I does look 'warm' - Macugnaga?

@tarrantd, there's more vertical in that one photo than in all of dognaccia! A definite no. I did forget that I was going to dognaccia last year, so this'd be my third resort I've been to. @albob, no, not macugnaga. One of the best names of a ski resort I've heard though!

I had to look up Doganaccia, because it sounded like a spoof name. Why did you ski somewhere so tiny? Even the Scottish resorts are bigger, with 3 times the vertical (and I thought those were very limited by Alpine standards).

Because I live (most of the time.) half an hour down the road from it. Its actually a very fun little resort if you get to know it, though abetone is more fun to ski at.

@albob, nope.

I think it might be time for a clue, this was the only photo I could use of this resort, as all of my others featured a somewhat large landmark that would be instantly recognisable even to non-skiers.

And @dobby, has it! It was taken from the grindel chairlift in Grindelwald first, overlooking the snowpark. Over to you.

I think that stalled, so I'll barge in... or feel free to barge back.

Damn that's fugly. Not Kicking Horse unless they've dramatically restyled Eagle's Eye, Not Grouse, Not Snowbird
My suspicions and a once remembered trip many many years ago point me to Whistler Mountain (no not that one) and the Jasper Skytram?
If so a bid sneaky given it's not really a ski area. I expect people do ski from there but is it even open in winter proper?

Have a go at this one in the meantime. A few hints might be needed, the first one is that it is about 5 km away from a centre of the European capital city
