Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I haven't been skiing much for the past 10 years. I've just getting out a couple times a year so I didn't make the transition to shaped skis. I have a season pass, and Im changing that now. I found a good deal on some Head Kore 93s. The catch is that they are 162cm. I'm 5'9" and 175#. I have been skiing a 180cm Dynamic straight ski for a *long* time. Looking for opinions on whether or not the 162 will be too short for me. I'm mostly an intermediate skier, but I like to hit the steep stuff when we get fresh powder. I ski Tahoe area primarily.

I would say they are really too short. I'd be looking at 177 - 183, for an advanced intermediate of your stats, that goes at average speeds and looking for an All Mountain ski.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Too short for you. 175cm would be as short as I would go for an all mtn ski. Unless you are looking at a narrow on-piste carver in the 82mm<, then 168-172.
