Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

There is currently no need to quarantine if you come to Switzerland. I've skied a few days here, Zermatt and Saas-Fee are best but you are talking long cruisy reds and blues with limited off-piste.
The lifts to/from the valleys are fairly busy at the start and end of the day and, though mask wearing is compulsory, there is no social distancing on the lifts. Also Valais, the canton in which Saastal and Zermatt are located, has closed all bars and restaurants for a couple of weeks at least except for those catering for hotel guests. In the mountains you can pick up takeaway but you can't use the restaurant balconies. See here.

What is the locals expectations for the next weeks? I can try organize myself a trip for early december , but I am still not confident there will be no changes in the rules a month from now... I have a ticket to Munich which I can rebook.

Here in Verbier we're expecting a pretty normal winter with the exception of mask wearing.

The only constraint on early December skiing may be if it doesn't snow again.

@nicoatridge, nice update on your website. I keep waiting for them to announce they’re closing for November given the Swiss covid stats but saw a post on IG from the Téléverbier chief inviting everyone to Verbier so seems as per Steve they’re expecting to stay open

It sounds good in Switzerland. We've had snow reports from Engleberg and Andermatt in the last two episodes of The Ski Podcast
