Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

GoPro have their own free software which is great for basic editing. http://gopro.com/software-app/gopro-studio

Dr Rock, only you need a Mac and the OP is talking about Windows Movie Maker.

jakemanc, as rasmanisar says try the GoPro software first. The people that made it make some bigger cinematography products so it's pretty good. There are some good cut down versions of the big products but they still cost a bit.

Editing footage is by it's nature slow and laborious. It is only really helped, by selective recordings or with powerful and expensive hardware and software. The gogpro cineform software is free works pretty well, it also comes with a couple of templates which yu just drop the footage into the appropriate sections and the render.

Most of the windows products (vegas, video studio etc) are free to download on a free 30 day trial.

If you are up for a bit of a learning curve, Final Cut Pro (mac) or adobe Premiere (PC) are IMO the top dogs and both offer free 30 day type trials. I use both at work, but as ansta1 says, unless you have selective well filmed footage it's always going to be slightly laborious, poo-poo in poo-poo out as they say.

ChinxSkis, +1 or Sony Vfegas. Does a great job at a non-stupid price (esp. if you claim you are student).

Davinci Resolve is great as a free program. There is a learning curve though but it's very powerful.
