Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

1. Queenstown, NZ
2. Yllas, Finland
to complete my A to Z.
Then a proper trip to Grindelwald, as my G was only just justifiable, or maybe Gstaad or Gosau.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

rob@rar.org.uk, perfect! Probably the only ski resort in the world beginning with an X. Alphabet-collectors from around the world will be beating a path to Milton Keynes, Castleford or Glasgow.

T-Dub,
Where did you go for your only just justifiable G?

Yeah, it was Xscape! A bit of a bake, but anyway, some of the locals spell Castleford with a silent 'X'.
I bet someone will come up with a resort in China beginning with an 'X' now.
Grindelwald it was, but I didnt see the town, just the slopes.
Yllas is realistic for next year, but I think the Q will elude me.

To go back to the 10 next resorts list...
1. Whistler (next march)
2. Flaine (sneeky weekender)
Then it's...
3. Chamonix (Valle Blanche)
4. Zermatt
5. Wengen
6. Grindlewald (as i've just finished reading The White Spider)
7. Shladming
8. Somewhere in NZ
9. Somewhere in South America
10. Back to Kitzbuhel to try do the Hahnenkahmm, again, from start to finish (we all know MB has bagged it in record time but i'd just like to get down it) It'll never happen though

You could try Xonrupt in France, Haute Voges I believe. Take it in as part of the drive down.
As for my next ten, when going low season I like to see where the snow is and book late.
But it looks like maybe Austria at half term and Serre Che at Easter.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Yep - drove through there a couple of weeks ago on te way back from Switzerland. You'd need to pick your time though as it's not the most snowsure of areas, or the longest season.
For Q there's also
Qanat Bakiche in the Lebanon
Qasigiannguit or Qaqortoq (3 Q's for the price of 1) in Greenland
or Quechee in Vermont USA.
There also used until recently (now closed?) to be a resort called Quadna Mountain in Minnesota, USA

Martin Bell,
Westendorf? What is special about this unlinked and small part of Ski Welt? That you can ski the red run that has no chairlift back and take a bus back to the resort instead?
