I had Conformable injection liners put into Technica Diablo Flames in January. I've since skied 22 days or so on them. On removing them at the weekend I noticed that on one liner, the fabric to the side of the tounge has split and that the rubber inseide has been damaged.
It's the sort of thing that a bit of duct tape could cover, but should I accept a patch or insist on a new liner. They were very expensive and I'm upset that they have started to show signs of wear so quckly. I'm taking them back tommorow.
Am I being unreasonable if I insist on a new liner?

Steve, I'm no expert on consumer legislation but I believe the two relevant questions are:
1. Were the liners of merchantable quality? Assuming you used the product with reasonable care, then a durability failure after 3 weeks' use suggests not.
2. Did the product have a warranty? What do Conformable say?
I'd expect the shop to want to repair, rather than replace, the product ... but Conformable might well approve them replacing it if they will underwrite the cost.
I think you've a right to demand a replacement (or high-quality repair to new standard), personally - any component of a ski boot should be durable.

SMALLZOOKEEPER, thanks for your response.
The Abominable snowHead, u did make me think to check the Conformable web site. It looks like there are replacement tounges available as spares. When I called them they said there was no one in the office with knowledge of the product
SMALLZOOKEEPER, do you know if the tounge alone can be swapped out? I think it would be reasonable for me to insist on that.
