Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Getting to Les Arc 1800 from Geneva Airport in April - any cheap options?

 Poster: A snowHead

I decided to meet family in Les Arcs 1800 week of 5-9 April. They are travelling on an arranged ski holiday from the UK, I am flying into Geneva separately and am tagging onto their accommodation (arranged with the travel company). But the bus transfer is causing an issue. I can’t seem to find a shared ride and a solo transfer is 475 euros.

Anyone got any tips?

@JenGD, Altibus runs from Geneva to Bourg St Maurice 4 times on 5 Apr 21 (10.00, 12.15, 15.30 and 17.30). Catch the funincular up to Arcs 1600 and then the free shuttle bus round to Arcs 18.00. Not easy but probably the cheapest option. https://www.altibus.com/pages/aeroports.aspx

@JenGD, have a look at 1st-lifts.com Tarentaise Transfers Notice Board on Facebook - shared lifts, cheap lifts, filling places on larger buses etc. Friends and fellow owners in the Tarantaise seem to use it (successfully!) quite a bit.

The cheapest option is to simply catch the train from Geneva airport to bourg st Maurice. 34 euros each way unless you are over 60 at which point it drops to 24.
Then get the funicular to 1600 and the navette around to 1800.

I'd allow a little more - the journey isn't long but when I caught it recently on a Sunday it only ran three times an hour. Might be a bit more frequent midweek.
