Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Like many places it's been abnormally warm here. On the Sautet lift here today with a couple of Americans when one of them spotted something below. An enormous marmotte or as I explained groundhog moving about on the snow at about 2600m. I don't think I've seen one before April before.

We always see one when skiing with new skiers or kids, I tell them to look out for them and then claim I have seen one, I ski ahead and drop a few chocolate raisins on the ground then tell them that Marmotte poo tastes like chocolate and pick some up and eat it, the look on their faces is classic, I tell them to try it but they always refuse even when I confess its choc they wont eat it. I know its sad and my wife always groans when I buy the raisins but it makes me laugh, my daughter asked if I was going to play the trick on her kids this year, I said I might and she made sure I did Laughing

@robs1, That isn't particularly original. I have seen bags of chocolate raisins labelled as marmotte droppings in French supermarkets.

 You know it makes sense.

When the kids were younger, I convinced them that moguls were the tops of hibernating Marmottes, and that your average marmotte was about the size of a VW beetle (traditional, not new model).
