Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

San Cassiano

Hello - we are off to San Cassiano next week and very much looking forward to it.

Does anyone know if there are any pools in the area we could use? I’ve seen the one in La Villa but was just wondering if there was anything else?

Any other tips much appreciated!

Thanks

Try a more local hotel with a pool /spa ?

Most will let you access for a fee ...

According to tripe advisor , should be seven hotels with pools in San Cassiano ?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Hotel Störes and Hotel La Stua San Cassiano both have pools - don't know if they are available to non-residents though

Go sledging if you fancy an alternative. Hire sledge in Ski Bar next to base gondola. I did a TR with photos 1/2 term 2018. Do a search or I will later for you. Stunning scenery and lots of huts with great food, kids slopes beside runs 13 and 21b, take 7 not 6 to Pralongia, sit on the left to enjoy the view from Pre Dai Corf chair - it’s slow so you can enjoy it more! If heading to Santa Croce take the red instead of the black into La Villa so you end up the right side of the car park, the black is more fun though, take the red into San Cassiano, most people are on the blues.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Thanks everyone - will try and find out if the hotels allow non-residents.

Thanks for the tips what...snow will put sledging on the agenda!

Here's a tip you didn't ask for: go to the family restaurant at the Hotel Rosa Alpina. Not the 3 star one, the family one. Same kitchen, but affordable and you won't need an Italian suit to fit in. In a place where green vegetables are rare, I had the best spinach salad ever! And if you're into cars, you'll see some nice ones out front.
