Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I have a collection of skicards from various resorts - don't know why I bother keeping them, but just wondered can you reuse them? say for example recharge a Grand Massif card online for a Galibier/thabor resort (valloire/vlameiner) as it would save queing at the lift pass office.

@skimummk, I think there are a couple of different systems in use but if they're the same you can.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I was able to use Portes du Soleil passes to book online for Praz de Lys.

@skimummk, best way is to put the card number into an order, if it is accepted, it will work with the lift system. Both areas seem to use a Keycard.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

If i'm going somewhere new, i'm happy to pay the couple of euros to get a new card, even if an old one from a different resort can be used.

Ya know, just so that I can add a new card to my collection.

I ordered the passes online for New Year and it was great not to have to join the huge queue.

We arrived at about 11 am and it happened that the carpark/liftpass kiosk were uphill from the first lift. So we skied down - and the bl*(dy passes wouldn't work. The lift operator let us on and told us to ski back down to the kiosk to sort it out.

We skied back down, and was told I'd only paid for 6 days, starting the following day. Oops! thats when I remembered I'd decided not to buy the first day in case we didn't make it to the slopes. The good news was that by the time we got to the kiosk we only needed 1/2 day passes - result!
