Poster: A snowHead

As above, I need to find a private instructor for the first week in March for my partner, a complete beginner. I think we’ve left it quite late (she was going to have group lessons with a friend who now wants to snowboard instead of ski). Im struggling to find private lessons in the morning, ideally for four or five days depending on cost

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks,@Old Fartbag, looks like they only offer 90 minute lessons during french school holidays, which we are out for the last week of. The price seems quite sensible.
She’s a nervous beginner, and for her personality private lessons are the right thing to do. Is 90 minutes long enough for 5 days of lessons? The lessons are over lunchtime which is a bit of a pain but I can’t find any morning slots anywhere.
Only thing left to figure out if we do go with ESF is how to get her from Vallandry where were staying to arc 1800.

You need to Login to know who's really who.

You will only get lunchtime, because the same instructors will be doing morning and afternoon group lessons

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Probably easier to get her to Peisey?

Book ESF at Vallandry, or Plan Peisey.
At Plan Peisey I have found them very good over the years with private lessons for lady friends of mine.

We really enjoyed our lessons with https://www.ski-aim.com/. So much so we went back the following year to them again. We went as 2 intermediate adults and a young teen and lessons were tailored to suit all, next day our instructor was teaching what looked like very early beginners.
You're not anywhere near a snowdome are you ? Hemel is super crowded at the moment but they have a separate beginner slope and a few group lessons there will make a massive difference to her first days in Les Arcs.
EDIT: Might be worth dropping JP a line, but they look booked

IMO. 90 min lessons every day are better than a week of half day Group lessons, if this is something u want to consider.
Also 90 minutes with an Instructor you like, is better than 3 hours with one u don't.
It's worth asking if either of the Instructors I mention will meet u in Vallandry...if that's what u want to do.

Lunchtime lessons likely to be the only option in peak holiday weeks. But 90 minutes is plenty.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

No specific instructors to recommend, but I find Maison Sport a useful way to solve this sort of problem: just put in the dates you need, and the resort you're going to, and you get a list of available instructors. You can read their bio and reviews to find someone who suits your needs rather than getting whoever the ski school allocates. If someone has a personal recommendation that's great, but in the absence of that Maison Sport (or something similar like Ski Bro) seems the best approach.
And there looks to be a selection of instructors that have availability in the mornings too.
