Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hello! I was wondering if anyone could recommend a private ski instructor for my 10 yr old son - he is happy with blues and can just about manage reds. We are based in Praz Sur Arly - we would like someone that we could go back to year after year and build up a good relationship with. English speaker would be ideal as my son’s French is quite basic still. Also for private lessons would his little brother be able to join it at the same time - he is a complete beginner, age 3 or would I better sticking him a nursery class?
I will be contacting ESF but wanted to see if anyone had a personal recommendation first. Many thanks!

Bit late to the party but we have used several english speakers in the ESF in Praz and all are good. Our kids have shared when their capabilities were similar. I'd put the youngster in the Piou Piou nursery class. We did - a couple of the guys speak enough english. Lot's of fun, singing, cake - a little skiing

Thank you - we actually managed to squeeze in a ski holiday in Feb 2020 right before Covid hit - my elder son went into ESF classes in Praz and loved them - made friends easily and was zooming down the slopes happily. Have booked a combi of private and group lessons for the 12 yr old (all fingers crossed) and ESF nursery for the 4 yr old. I am glad to hear this worked for you - am a bit nervous about how the wee one will get on. Really can't wait to get back for the winter. I see snow is falling....
