Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

What time are you arriving? If it's later in the day, you might be better shopping in Austria as supermarkets close much earlier than in the UK (typically 18:30 ish on Saturdays). There are a few on the same site at Kaufhaus West, which isn't far from the airport. Your biggest option is probably Interspar at Dez, on the Innsbruck Ost exit.

That thread from the other day is for the other side of the Sella Ronda.
There's a Spar on the left as you enter La Villa.
At the turn off on the Pustertal/Val Pusteria road, I think if you go past the road to Corvara a bit in towards Brunico, then there must be a massive Spar or similar.
Don't recall anything else on the way.
At Innsbruck, there must be loads of supermarkets, but might not be open at early o'clock, if you set off at crack of sparrowfart to get to the Sella Ronda mid-morning.
Not been to any of them, so can't comment on which are good/bad.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

We shopped at Lidl in Altenmarkt last year for our group of 16. Fantastic wines, beer and bakery. Saved a bloody fortune.
