 Poster: A snowHead

Hello
Thinking about going to Stubai or Kitzbuhel tomorrow and haven’t been to either. Want somewhere with very good snow (obviously!), trees and easy, wide runs.
Anyone that’s been to both - which would you recommend? I imagine Stubai is a lot barer than Kitz? Should I expect one to be busier than the other? Is one more expensive for lunch/coffee?

Snow will certainly be better on the glacier...

@moseyp, Not really any trees in Stubai, though the forecast is good tomorrow so it shouldn’t matter. As above, it’s not really that big but most places will be fairly quiet. I’d go to Kitzbühel.

@moseyp, if its tree runs you want then Kitzbühel. If you are driving then Scheffau might be a good alternative, closer to the autobahn and plenty of trees and straightforward skiing. Assuming you are Innsbruck or nearby another option might be Kaltenbach in the Zillertal. Not so many runs in the trees but it is reasonably high so snow should be OK and it is close to the autobahn (and closer to Innsbruck and easy by train)

Thanks all, I went to Kitzbühel. The snow was summer slush by late morning but I loved the ski area and would definitely go back for a holiday. Shame I’m not there next week, it was exciting seeing all the setting up. Going Stubai or Kuhtai tomorrow

We were in Kitz on Tues, and the Zillertall Arena today. Conditions pretty similar in both, firm pistes but good fun. We're talking about Kuhtai tomorrow. Might see you there @moseyp!

Went Kühtai, much better snow than Kitz but obviously far more limited skiing. Gröstl not so good.

@barthez1980, Bruggeralm - tiny place, great gröstl, very cute. Would definitely recommend.
