Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Portes Du Soleil 6 day Lift Pass Advice

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi

We are going to Morzine for 6 days and will get a full PDS lift pass. We need a variety of adult, child and youth passes. 15 in total. We are trying to work out if we need to pay an extra 21 euros each for insurance or if we have our own travel insurance will that suffice? Also where would be the best site to buy from or is their only one choice at https://en.portesdusoleil.com/portes-du-soleil-lift-passes/ ?

Many thanks for any advice/tips in advance.

Cheers

R

What is the €21 for? Is it the Carte Neige? If so you don’t technically need it as your travel insurance should reimburse (if it’s needed!!). If you don’t get it, then you may have to pay to be dragged off the mountain in an accident.

When my wife was carted off Les Gets with a broken knee, we didn’t have a carte neige, but they were happy to just claim the cost retroactively. If not, we would have just put it on a credit card.

If you have a good quality UK based travel insurance policy you probably don't need the Carte Neige. But if you ski (even a little bit......) off piste and have any doubts about the coverage of your travel insurance (lots of weasel wording about off piste) the Carte Neige is a useful "extra" at about the cost of a cup of coffee per day (and less than a beer).
