Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Looking to get ahead of the game in the coming weeks and book a couple of restaurants up for our Feb H/T visit... We're a large party and ALWAYS end up forgetting to book anything...

So, we're staying in the La Salle-Les-Alpes part of SC and need poss 2 decent restaurant recommendations please... Not stupidly high-end either as there are young kids in the group... Happy

Thx in advance folks...

Also the new Snow-Inn opposite the Petite Serre Bar - new for this season and we had a good meal there last Friday and is run by one of the usual suspects in the valley.

Also Pastorale as @KenX, mentions

One of the restos that used to be good, Cavailou has gone very high end now L'Oree Du Bois so don't make the hike up there, that said think we've been a handful of times now.

Grotte has changed hands (French now) and the Old Frog now the L'Équilibre should suffice as it's run by people that again have been involved with restos/bars in the valley for years.

Have not heard any reports this season about the La Vielle Ferme yet as they tend to have new chefs / staff there each season but Magnus is still the gaffer.

We’re in Villeneuve now & have our ‘half board’ meals in the L’Equilibre. Great staff! A quiet week but a few groups booked in & having a great time. Fairly basic menu but all good, hearty portions!

My personal favourite is La Marotte in Villeneuve. 25 Euro fixed price 3 course meal. First class home cooking. Cash only though and booking is essential as its tiny.
