Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

@Disaster, I've used Four Seasons Travel Reisen, who are based in Innsbruck, a couple of times for Munich to Galtür and would use them again. We booked through a random internet firm the first time but I went direct to their website last year. They seemed good value and the service was good.

I booked with Austria-taxi.at. No experience of them yet although I think a few Snowheads have used in the past and they are in @Tatman's guide. Will see. Anyone transferring Salzburg - Saalbach (or Glemm valley) evening of 22nd return early afternoon 29th Feb (or just one way) welcome to join for a few €. We have 3 spare seats

We've used Austria-taxi.at for the last 4 years, never had an issue, very professional. The only tricky bit is trying to find the driver when exit baggage reclaim, so it's worth having their phone number handy. Our group all love the door to door service at a time which suits, rather than being lumbered in a coach at the crack of dawn and arriving at the airport hours before your flight on the return leg.

I noticed a couple of days ago that the prices on the taxi websites had been substantially increased (although still cheaper than the V.I.P. transfer, booked through the Holiday Shuttle website, which is presumably what they aim for). Whereas it used to be cheaper for 4 people to book a taxi, rather than the shuttle service - and only slightly more expensive for a group of three - it is now cheaper for four people to book the shuttle (and therefore preferable, provided that the waiting time isn’t too long.

@blondends, cheers for the tips and reassurance! I printed the voucher yesterday and must admit I didn’t see a number so I’ll make sure to note it down.

@tatmantours, I have found a private transfer round trip for €310, the holiday shuttle is €89 pp, so private taxi still seems much better value to me for €8 pp when 3 persons travelling

Same thought occurred to me.
Last time I looked, both Austria Taxi and Austria Transfers had increased their prices substantially. However I now see that Austria Transfers is much more competitive and is also advertising its own 8 times a day shuttle service, apparently in competition with the Holiday Shuttle. Not surprising as the H.S. has steadily increased its prices and is asking to be undercut.

I have just booked for 3rd year running with www.salzburgtaxi.eu.

Paying €291 for 3 of us in an estate car, we have no skis so car fine, but they do an 8 seater van for €319.

The other company I was quoting before is city-airport-taxi.com, they do 6 seater minibus for €312, never used them though
