Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Difference between Salomon QST Quest and Charge helmets

Hey,

anyone know the difference? Aside from a pretty minimal difference in weight, they seem to fill exactly the same gap in the market ie off-piste and tourers at pretty much exactly the same price. I'm about to pull the trigger on the Charge but wondered if I was missing something obvious?

Since moving to Cham and taking up touring a couple of years ago my enormous POC monstrosity that weights about 6 stone isn't cutting the mustard any more!

I have just brought a QST Charge helmet, as it was the only one I tried out of many that fitted my head nicely. I paid £65 from snowinn including delivery. I haven't used it in anger yet but it certainly feels very light and is comfortable and works well with my goggles.
