Any tips on where to find weekend accommodation in St Anton?
Thu, Fri and Saturday night in late Feb.
Quick searches on airbnb and hotels.com don't offer much at all really, let alone anything at a reasonable price.
Could be hotel, apartment or anything else really that would accommodate 3 adults, walking distance of town and lifts.

Budget end of market preferred. Lads trip. No need for creature comforts

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Check out Landhaus Albert Murr. Maria will move heaven and earth to help. Right in the town centre 2 minutes from everything. Tell her Todd recommended it. If you get accommodation there Max definitely owes me yet another beer! Tell her that as well!

@Adam123, all the accommodation available is on the tourist office site https://www.stantonamarlberg.com/en. There are a few places you can book direct through the site but in most cases you will need to send a confirmation email to the hotel or pension. However I suspect you will struggle to find anything less than full weeks during peak season until about a week before when owners realise they will not sell the full week. I would suggest you look at Pettneu rather than St Anton itself. There is very little reasonably priced accommodation in the centre it is mostly in Nasserein, St Jakob or Gand all of which are a fair way out, you will need to use the buses. Pettneu is less than 10 minutes on the very regular buses (night ones too) and there are bars and restaurants in the village. If you want cheap cheap there is what is basically a hostel in Pettneu run by a Australian / Austrian couple.

You have to wait until about 2/3 weeks before and then the hotels will let you book. I’ve done it this way for 4 years

Feb is a busy period as it is school holidays for most of Europe. As suggested above, you'll either have to wait out, pay more, or look further down the valley somewhere like Pettneu.
