Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Flaine private Ski lessons

Anyone have suggestions for private lessons in Flaine? Doesn’t look like many options other than esf?

ESI & Lynne Stainbrook (Flaine Ski Clinic) to name just a couple.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Another option is Catherine & Nicolas Pouppeville
Catherine specialises in private lessons for children - highly recommended but usually fully booked up each season
Nicolas used to be the main man at ESI in Flaine
Both speak excellent English and have been teaching since 1980 plus they live in Flaine all year round so know everything there is to know

+1 for the Pouppevilles

Nicolas taught our kids for a week of 2-hour private lessons when he was still with ESI. The kids were 4 & 6 at the time and it was only their second week skiing. They really liked him and they progressed massively, helping them recover from a slightly traumatic first skiing experience at ESF’s Rabbit Club.

I knew he had gone independent and would have also recommended him above, but couldn’t recall his surname!

I had a Ski Instructor called Nicolas, who worked for the ESI, way back in the early 80s.....and he was really good. I wonder if he's the same guy? I suppose he'd now be in his mid 60s.

@Old Fartbag, sounds about right, age-wise. This Nicolas is quite tall (at least 6’2” at a guess) and slim.

Yup, that sounds like him.

He very much helped me get off the Intermediate Plateau (while in a small class).

The names here prove how a quality instructor will keep getting work.

Catherine thought my kids when they were teeny little things. Both mid 20s now, and both highly qualified ski instructor s who have worked all over the world.

Lynne taught my wife and I many years ago
He is excellent too.
