Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Grand Massif - Return to Faline Hameau

Does anyone know if there is a ski-able route from the Tourmaline piste above Flaine back to the Hameau area?
On the Piste map it looks like you may be able to follow the ridge then peel off through the trees.

There was certainly nothing evident in that area last time I skied around there, bu I wasn;t specifically looking for it

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Doesn't the small lift to "terrace de eos" apartments go there?

It lifts you above them and effectively overshoots the buildings so that you have to u-turn and come back toward them, at which point it's very close to the main road with Hameau area laying just opposite.

I've used it to access tde but didn't look to cross there but memory has it in the right place.

Access to that small lift ( forget name) is straight on at sharp left turn in Tourmaline bottom end after the narrow bridge.

Thanks ski3.
Looking at the piste map I think you're correct - I'll check it out next week

@ninanderson, at the last turn of Tourmaline if, instead of following the piste left back down to the main plateau, you go right/straight on you will come to the short Gerats chair that @ski3 is referring to. At the top of that chair you go left and this is the cat track piste that leads back to Terrasses d’Helios and Eos. Where the piste turns at the back of Helios is probably closest to the road and to Flaine Hameau, but I have no idea if there is any way through. I suspect not, but perhaps worth a little investigation.
