I don't wear makeup on the slopes, but I will admit to pulling on a pair of my wife's knickers one morning after a heavy night on the lash, and struggling to get out the door to go skiing. Once the hangover had worn off and at the first bar stop of the day, I realised why my botty crack and nadgers felt like they had been garotted.

There have been some comments on here I didn't believe regarding the extent to which men wear make-up. I thought this was de minimus but a quick search shows I was wrong, its quite a share of the total spend. Apparently the zoom call thing has caused a major increase, which is odd: so, they didn't care how they looked in person but now that they're on a screen they think they need war paint? My suggestion: forget the makeup and position the camera away from your double chin!
Makeup isn't sexy but confidence is. If wearing the former helps with the latter, go for it. Confidence helps the skiing, too.

They always care!
It's just they don't see themselves in the mirror constantly (like women do). So they never thought about it. Now that they are forced to stare at their own face on screen all day long, they can't stand it any more. Time to put on some "confidence booster"!

I literally never wore make up until lockdown. Seeing myself in HD every day made me buy a little. I don’t bother every day. I didn’t look in mirrors before! And still don’t wear much and definitely not for any sport or skiing

I love make up. I have a work look that is a bit creative and a bit terrifying dominatrix and it helps people to understand what i’m about quite quickly.
I find cricket pointless but I don’t get too bothered that many others waste so much time and money on it. Ditto hair transplants.
