We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

It’s been a few years since I’ve been to Sierra Nevada in Spain and it was in February.i am looking to take my daughter next year but not until beginning of April. Has anyone been there at this time of year?

Hi there, I was there on the 10th/11th April 2015.

There was plenty snow and it was predictably spring conditions. Hard and a bit icy first thing softening up during the day until slushy in the afternoon.

Because it's so high up (nearly 3300 m at the top) it holds onto snow as well as the Alps.

Yes, sometimes the best snow dumps are March ,April. I think the Cetursa site gives past averages of snow depths at different times of year. Was there a week ago and although snow depths not massive most of the resort was open and there has been investment in more snowmakers so pistes are topped up as long as temps low enough.
