Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

DPS Phantom Glide 2.o Base treatment.

I've just had some promotional email about DPS Phantom Glide 2 Base treatment which apparently is a one time base treatment for skis, which is better than a normal gp wax over most snow conditions and it'll last the life time of your ski! All for $99 !
The cynic in me says how can this be? but I'd love to hear what the Ski techs think about it!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

My 2016 DPS Wailers came with the previous incarnation of the DPS coating which was called Juice by “Look No Wax”. I can’t say that I noticed it being effective, and the skis were much better after a traditional hot wax.

Since DPS dropped this product link and brought out their own version, either indicates that they found the same, or saw a much greater money making potential with their own brand version.

If Phantom genuinely works then great, but even if only partially works, it would be a massive benefit for rental fleets who wax hundreds of pair a week.

No honesty or transparency from DPS over the differences/relatedness from Juice. Outrageous BS hype but seemingly no ability to do something as basic as a few double blind tests.

Regardless the sppos seem to be lapping it up. People were falling over themselves on Pugski to shell out $99 a pop. But then those same people also believe in Head Graphene.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.
