Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Les Rousses ?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Am wondering about this place for Feb half term with 2 small children, anyone skied it..... I need some where reasonably flat with not many lifts as that a waste of cash etc, also this place is only 450 miles from Calais

Any other idea that fit the brief welcomed, am trying to drive rather than fly as flight too lumpy that time of year

Cheers

The Les Rousses that I know is in the Jura, not far from Geneva. Not a great deal shorter journey than many Alpine resorts. It'll be busy at half term. And snow might not be great.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I've driven through lots but never skied there. There are some reports from the area on Snowheads - have you searched?

Big cross country area.

@ajc2260626, May i suggest Metabief. Never skied there but driven past it several times on the way down to the Alps, certainly a quick and easy drive. https://www.station-metabief.com/fr/plan-domaine

Les Rousses is local to us...snow can be poor as its low but there's 1m up there already and it's still lashing it down Smile The slopes are a bit disjointed but it is a lovely area to ski. I'd prefer Metabief personally as it's a bit more joined up but either will be great value compared to bigger resorts.
