Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Videos for Drills

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi,

I'm looking for links that demonstrate how to do drills helpful for an intermediot

Things like
- raising one ski whilst turning
- braquage (sp?)

And any other drills.

There are lots of videos showing generally how to do something (like the Darren Turner videos), but fewer decent videos of drills.

Any good videos of drills, that'd be appreciated.

Cheers

TC, I generally try to avoid blatant self promotion here, but you won't find a more comprehensive and extensive program of skill development via a progressive series of "drills", than is to be found in my Building Blocks program. 9 solid hours of it.

Do a search on YouTube for Deb Armstrong, who uses effective, well explained drills for the fundamentals.

Some interesting stuff in there, so thank you for highlighting it.

The section on Inside Leg Extension reminded me that you can transfer weight by adding weight to the top ski; or taking it away from the bottom ski.....and I had almost forgotten that the former existed. I had been primarily skiing with the float, between the turns - which is highly enjoyable.

From past lessons, I know that I have to be careful that the ILE doesn't turn into an upward "Pop".
