Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Val D’Isere guide recommendations

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Off to Val D’Isere for the first time this winter and would like to do a day or two with a guide (just wife and I). Happy to do a bit of skinning to get the best stuff if required. Any recommendations?

I’ve done a search on here but the only relevant threads I could find were many years old (cue for someone to link to a post from last week?! wink )

Cheers

Alpine Experience: Wayne, Andreas & co. - usually mix you in to a 6 pers group, good value: https://alpineexperience.com/en/home-page/

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Sorry, should have been clearer - I was looking for personal recommendations for guides that folk have used previously.

Pierre Loeher.
Always good fun to ski with he is relaxed and can tailor your day to suit your requirements .
We have had great days skiing in Val/Tignes but also in La Rosiere La Thuile Tarrentaise Tour etc he runs his own mini bus so good for airport pick ups and skiing in other resorts.
Based in Villaroger.

I can also recommend Alpine Experience - great if there are just one or two of you wanting an adventure day during your stay.

If it's individuals you want - I have at various times in last 20 years skied with TJ, Pietro, Olivier and Jean-Marc and had a great time with each. If you want to see their CVs they are all on the AE website.

Cheers folks - we’ve had very few bad experiences over the years but have come across a couple of grumpy or manic guides over the years so much prefer a personal recommendation
