Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

@plectrum, if you can speak French, plenty of bars/restos advertising for staff in Chamonix valley, including high end ones. experience like yours is probably rare and sought after I’d imagine.

Just set the region to Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes and knock yourself out.

Or here ...
https://www.indeed.fr/jobs?q=&l=Morzine+%2874%29

The one at the Airelles is looking for English speaking, so that gives you a good shout.

I know it's a long time ago, but I got a seasonal job in Morgins 1988, and the reason I was employed over the 100's of postal applicants was that I got off my butt and went out there.

If you can afford a few days, the cost of the ferry and some petrol, just come out as it will massively increase your chances.

@plectrum, good enough French to work as a sommelier to a mostly french clientele? anyway as Jedster suggests, lots of restaurants looking for staff in Chamonix right now.

@plectrum, don’t know if they have any vacancies but I’ve stopped here a few times and it seemed a nice work environment. Maybe worth a call.

Get a job in Switzerland...the pay is miles better.
Sure the cost of living is a bit more, but nowhere near as much more as the pay.

One of these days... it woudl be tempting. Speak English, Italian and a good command of Spanish. If only. One day... when I'm sick of the grind. Just have to convince the family to join me.
