Any other suggestions?

What's the difference in cost between the
and the cheapest that may not cover? Then look at how much that difference makes to the total cost of a 31 day ski trip. Probably less than the cost of a beer a day.
MPI has gone up quite a bit this year but for me it still represents good value for money, less than £2 a day each for 38 days total skiing and not less than 38 other European days. That's with pre-existing health conditions covered, including one that caused me to claim last year.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

@Timc, Fair point Dog Tag and MPI fairly similar cover but Dogtag medical questionnaires (and probably ends up with an extra charge) is not as 'sensible' as MPI

I have to renew my insurance in the next couple of weeks. I'm currently with Insure and Go, with the only negative issue being 24 days winter sports.
I've just entered my details into both Insure and Go and MPI for what appears to the the same world wide exc Americas cover (Annual Black on I&G and Excel on MPI) and the difference is large, being £132 and £315. Being over 50 doesn't help on MPI, as it costs £70 extra per year to go from 49 to 50.
Update: I've just checked the MPI T&C's in more detail and the standard policy is limited to 17 days per trip for winter sports, for more than 17 days its another £47.38

After being with MPI for the last few years I've just taken out a policy with Asda which is rebadged Insure & Go but a bit cheaper.
Discussion here https://snowheads.com/ski-forum/viewtopic.php?t=148923
MPI premiums appear to have gone through the roof and the Asda/I&G cover off piste - and as much as you can make out seem to handle claims OK.

I've just gone through this, for other reasons I 've gone with MPI single trip, but ERV seem to offer good cover - on piste, off piste within resort, off piste oputside the resort

@boredsurfin, If you have BUPA cover, travel insurance is included on and off piste annually.

Really?! Is that standard? And is it with or without a guide? I'm gong to try and change to BUPA for my medical insurance, as my current insurers have royally pi$$ed me off, and it would be a bonus to have travel insurance included.
