@Mr.Egg, @Captain Primrose, fine but not my thing. I always saved my pennies for ski holidays. I don't need to do that now of course, living the dream.
But that's my point, sounds like the OP has a different concept of what constitutes a holiday from those of us who frequent these forums. As to dating whether online or otherwise, I can't help at all. Again, not my thing.

As above. Any recommendations for resorts or ski schools that they'll really hate?
Thanks in advance |
Perhaps you should consider whether this type of person stills merits your acquaintance.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@Perty, good try. But your generalized “theory” is most likely wrong.
My old man is quite like that, at least now (but he wasn’t like that when younger)
He used to use the internet. But that proved to be rather unpleasant. He wrote long winded insulting email with anyone and everyone who disagree with him, family, friends. Now he doesn’t use it any more. (as there’s no one left who would answer his email).
But his a bit more interesting to talk to in person. And he has no trouble getting “birds” of various age (including those LESS than half of his age)

Does the SCGB think this sort of stuff makes them look like the sort of organisation people would want to join?

You'll need to Register first of course.

@philwig, I doubt that it's official Ski Club policy and he's not an officer any more, is he?

@philwig, How're you expecting the SCGB to answer your question?
But if it somehow managed to reply and typed the following, "Yes because it makes me look less like a place run by and for stuck up a-holes." It might be on to something.

I'm beginning to think Prince Andrew's has a secret love child (son).

@abc,
It looked to me like it could be a description of Prince Andrew but he doesn’t have a son. (Assumed you are male, apologies if not)

it doesnt need to be your thing, but a little sun is nice, a little alcohol can be nice.
You find me lying by a pool or on a beach hours on end, but you will find me wondering around cities, mountains & lakes. Always nice to go to a locals bar for some drinks & not the tourist ones! Life's for living. Not regretting.

There's no regret if what you want is to stay home and read!
Queenie maybe ski obsessed. So rushing about between pubs in foreign cities wouldn't be her "thing". And she won't be regretting it, I don't think.
I don't like to rush about, not even for skiing.
