I use it.a fair. It not.in the ski season. Going through Switzerland can be cheaper bit be a pain as it's often busy.
It's lower than the passes and is rarely closed.
Both sides of the tunnel offer two, iconic and historic ski stations. Before the tunnel, Courmayeur really was the back of beyond. I love the place. It celebrates its history very well.

The GSB is never as busy as the TMB in my experience, it's a quieter approach and route in General!

I came through on Saturday lunchtime, around 1pm.
There was probably a queue of around 30 cars which took me around 15 to 20 mins to get through.

Download the TMB App. It gives good real time information and forecasts traffic flow with reasonable accuracy.

No delays are forecast for this coming Sunday in the Italy->France direction so you would be very unlucky to be held up for more than half an hour.
