Poster: A snowHead

Hello,
Has anyone come across a catered ski chalet in the Three Valleys with two single rooms? I've never come across one, but maybe someone else has?
If not, anyone know of any chalets where the single supplement isn't too bad?
Cheers

kosciosco,
Mrs B and I stayed in Chalet Phoenix in Les Allues, Meribel, with The Chalet Company a couple of years ago.
We were accompanied by 2 friends of ours who each booked a single room in the chalet. I can't remember how much their single supplement was - but it must have been reasonable as they aren't particularly extravagant.
It might be worth giving the company a call.
It was a very good chalet, with great food.
Good luck.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I got one in La Praz last minute after a phone call
"I'm interested in the £299 last minute deal, just me going"
"Ok, that's £299+single supplement £150"
"Ah, sorry, not interested, £299 or nothing"
"Ok, £299 it is then"
Ice & fire had single rooms at no supplement in Paradiski 5 years ago |
Totally agree — this is the way to do it. Just call around at the last minute, and if you are not super-fussy about the resort or chalet, then there are so many late bargains to be had. There are always a few un-filled rooms around, plus late cancellations and no-shows. Most operators and chalet owners would rather have *some* money, rather than empty rooms.
