Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Grand Massif Season Pass- Purchasing Process

 Poster: A snowHead

Hi all

The cost and validity of the pass is clear enough, but there is reference to a recent photo being needed. If I buy online, how does the pic part work- is there a photo ID scheme in play? Also, they talk about re-using old skicards. Can you use a card from a different area? If not, do they send out the new card, or do you collect on day 1?

These are triv questions, but hey, they are SKIING triv questions! Very Happy Any info appreciated. (We're doing a week in Les Carroz in Jan, and all of March in Morillon. Yay)

For season passes you need a photo, which is uploaded online as part of the checkout process. They will post the card out to you with your vouchers, usually comes quickly.

When you scan onto certain lifts your picture shows up on the screen, for example on the télécabine from Morillon village. It to prevent season passes being shared.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

No problems...it actually reminded me to go on and buy my own passes whilst it's still on the half price deal.

So to clarify, I need to get the 'passport' style pics ready on the pc at the point of purchase, and will be prompted to upload them?

I uploaded our pics quite a few years ago so renewing each year it just uses the original pic but I recall - choose a picture of yourself on your PC or iPad, you will be prompted to upload it during the purchasing process and are then prompted to crop the picture so that it is passport-sized before confirming that you are happy with it. Your ski pass arrives with a simplified picture of yourself on it but be assured that the full colour picture shows up on the lifties computer every time you pass through a scanning barrier at most lift stations. Over the years I have been asked quite a few times to remove helmet/goggles so that they can verify that it's me.

You also need to upload proof of age if you're buying a discounted kids season pass - usually send a scanned copy of a passport

Interestingly enough they didn’t ask me for that when we purchased ours a couple of weeks ago!
