Poster: A snowHead

Which resort within striking distance of Geneva Airport (up to 2 hours ish) will have the most terrain open next weekend ? Not looking to do any off-piste, trying to do a lot of mileage to work those ski muscles befor a week away at New Year.

GM will be open, and likely to have good snow - but there would be better places for getting the miles in. If in Chamonix I think Brevent/Flegere and Le Tour are better for bashing out distances on piste.
Or Verbier. But that weekend other areas should have good snow too e.g. Portes du Soleil, though I don't know opening status.

JoyZipper,
The 3 Valleys will be open then, so that should give you plenty of mileage options. It's usually a 2 hour 15 minute drive from Geneva to Val Thorens (barring any major holdups); or nearer your 2 hour mark to Meribel, St Martin or Les Menuires.

Or extend the time to 2hrs 30min (2hrs 15min on a very good run) & drive to Tignes Les Boisses for access to the whole Espace Killy. (Or 2h 10m to 2h 20m if the gondola out of Tignes Les Brevieres is open by then).
