Skied last week in the Sunnmøre Alps and in Stryn. Snow base is excellent, however the avalanche conditions were complex to say the least. Our group released a medium sized slide in terrain just above 30, but no one was hurt. Did a lot of touring which was great, but did not reach our goal to ski the Slogen due to the avi conditions:( Next time!! In my opinion, the Sunnmøre Alps is more interesting area than Lyngen.

Fonna is still open thanks to the snowpack in Norway this year
It is a summer ski area located at 1200 m on the Fonna glacier but conditions are "exceptional" this year.
