Poster: A snowHead

Hi all,
I'm a reformed ski bum looking to spend some time in the Alps this winter before I end up moving to the states (long story). I landed a remote job so I can work from anywhere, but I'm just looking for ideas on where to set up and live for either the full season or a month or two.
France is preferred because I'm fluent in the lingo and planning to finally ride La Grave before I head across the pond, but I loved my time working in Switzerland and visiting friends in Austria as well. Realistically I'm open to all options. Ski Pass isn't a big deal as I plan to do a lot of touring and only ski on my days off, so reckon I can get by with day passes.
Would appreciate any and all suggestions.
Cheers

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Briancon / Serre Chevalier. Close to La Grave plus Briancon is a real town and the Serre Chevalier ski area is a decent size with good off-piste.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

+1 for staying in a valley location and driving out to resorts. For a start, you'll probably get much faster/cheaper broadband (if that's important for your remote working). Food will be cheaper too. I'm thinking the French-speaking Swiss Valais, somewhere like Martigny or Sion, or a smaller town like Sierre or even Riddes or Leytron. Then get a Magic Pass to ski the area.

Go with the snow.
Living in a valleytown sucks. No sun. No snow. No buzz.
Do it proper.
Do Verbier.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I'm still partway between renting somewhere and buying a camper to sell at the end of the season. Thanks for the suggestion on co-working spaces too, I'd not thought to look for that.
