Hi,
Considering picking up a used S4 big mountain model and wondering if anyone had any knowledge of band replacement costs?
I've seen you need a verified authentic serial number before even being allowed to buy them but wondering about costs or if anyone has come up with an alternative source?
Thanks for any info
Mike

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

I see there is a UK specific site which offers a variety of things including converting your S4 to the latest model and that CEM (don’t know how to tag him) is listed as a distributor

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

oldmike try info@skiersedge.co.uk - I asked a few years ago and from memory it was about £90 - BUT - I have not actually needed to replace the bands on my second hand S4 yet. I cycle each day as part of my commute which helps with cardio and leg strength, but find that putting in daily sessions on the S4 gives me better lateral stability for my knees (no aching knees doing about 4-6 fairly hard weeks skiing per season).

Cheers Bob, will bear this in mind but probably a bit rich for me. Don't need one but one I've seen is pretty cheap

To all the Skiers Edge s4 owners was the serial number anywhere else other than on the machine? Invoice, manual?
Fingers crossed

Let me know if they come back to you. I messaged them when I replied to this thread but radio silence from them, which is disappointing.

Hi Thanks Oitbc, No word as yet at 100kg I'm likely to need the tension bands to be in good condition.
Sarah did come back quickly with a price list and order form but there was no mention of the S4 bands.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Sorry - no idea (I bought mine second hand) - I've never looked for a serial number (and can't see anything obvious on the S4 either)!
