Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Had a bit of everything (except ice) this week thanks to the el bizarro temperatures;

Monday - slush skiing on lazy snow (no technique required today thanks).

Tuesday - La Balme closed until late afternoon, wet and miserable, slushy snow on l'Etale, but temp falling.

Wednesday - Superb fresh powder in the lower half of the Balme bowl (top chair still shut); boot to knee-deep, light and smooth and only a handful of skiers. Top fun. Impressed by remains of a massive avalanche (presumably triggered by pisteurs) beside and across the Balme Blue; around 1km in travel, several hundred metres wide with smashed trees and debris 5-6 metres deep in places.

Thursday - very wet, powder turned to porridge and glue.

Heavy rain all night last night and temperature up, so TO just posted Avalanche Level 4 due to waterlogged snow - will be sticking to the runs today but the sun is breaking through so at least we'll pick up a tan while splashing around...

Pizza Report : l'Outa (on the main road - rue des Grandes Alpes I think - opposite the upper car park) rocks! 10/10.
