Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Serious skier looking for big mountain expedition 2020

I'm bit of late starter into skiing having been more of a climber and mountaineer when I was younger. But now at 32 I've cut my teeth on 2 Canadian winters at Red mountain and the surrounding area. I feel ready for the next level and am looking for something more serious. Maybe more backcountry in Canada, Alaska, Alps or elsewhere?

Skill wise I'd say I'm solid. I'm not an acrobat but I'll happily take drops up to 3m and I tend to gravitate to technical lines, trees, complex terrain. I can handle most terrain and if I can't I usually find a way around it safely. I've done alot of lead rock climbing and some mountaineering so I'm good with ropes and technical routes. Recently I've got into backcountry skiing and have a good few weeks out on multiday touring trips in avalanche terrain. I'm happy to lead through low risk terrain on the right day but still have limited experience understanding risk in big mountains.

I have January, February and possibly March off work 2020 and happy to go anywhere anyone is going. However I'll be in San Francisco on work from October till the end of December 2019 so planning on getting weekends in on local hills. Would be great to train on the weekends with anyone in the area with a plan to do something more bold in the high season.

Let me know if anyone has any ideas or knows where I should be looking instead.

Thanks

Adam
