Poster: A snowHead
|
Hi all,
Good chance the girlfriend and I will be visiting friends in Kelowna, BC next winter, and I'm thinking a long, long way ahead!
We will probably try to ski a few areas, so does anyone know of any multi resort passes, similar to the RCR pass?
I'm looking at Big White, Silverstar and Sun Peaks as places to ski.
Any advice greatly received!

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Silverstar is part of the Lake louise card - gives you 1st, 4th and 7th days free with 20% discount on any other day. We found it useful for our last road trip, and will probably use it again next year. It may be of use depending how many days you plan to ski at each.
Sun peaks isn't on it , and we just bought discounted tickets from the hotel, the same for Big White.

Find the one with the cheapest season pass . Then that will get you 25% off at other resorts. it will also get you "buddy" tickets with 25% off for someone else.
I don't know which resort has the cheapest season pass Sun Peaks season pass is on sale now i don't know about the other 2.
I have just bought sun peaks pass as it also gives us 50% off tickets at Whistler.

Looking at the price of the season pass at Sun Peaks I don't think it's worth while getting a season pass.
Looks as though a Peaks Snow pass ($276 for 3 days) and the LL Pass for Silverstar might be the best bets.
Certainly reminds me how much more lift passes are on that side of the pond!

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Yes and no. Shorter visits are more expensive in USA. Longer stays can actually be cheaper in N america, and nothing in Europe really compares to the epic/ikon passes for multi resort trips. Anyway it's a different experience, you are not comparing like for like.

€306 for 6 days, roughly £270, 6 days in Sun Peaks is $534.75 roughly £315, so not too dissimilar I guess, but definitely more.
3 Valleys is particularly expensive though, the Portes du Soleil pass is €270, £240 for 6 days.

Yes. The 3 Valleys is €296 for 6 days (if 2 of you buy the passes together). €4.33 per day dearer than the PdS.
