Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

New boots

After 3 seasons I've trashed my pair of Nitro Teams, took a few days to work out why my feet were sore until I found the whole inner lining had detached itself.. oops!

I hired a very nice pair of Burton Ions and was very impressed.

These are quite wide, I tried some salamons which were too narrow. ALso liked the lacing system which looked odd at first but soon got used to it. They were also a little softer than my old boto which I also preferred.

"I'll buy a pair when I get home." Get home to discover the cheapest was 179quid

Bit too expensive so wondering what else people use thats worth looking at?

Vans make quality boots that are on the wider side and are cheaper than Burtons, and like Burtons have heat moldable liners. Vans BFBs have a similar flex to the Ions, and you should be able to find them about 60-70 pounds cheaper than the ions. Celsius also make slightly wider, well made, well priced boots with a medium flex (could check out the Climate). Lastly, 32 and DC make great boots as well, maybe a touch narrower than Vans/Celcius, but they are still definitely wider than Salomon boots, and the 32s have heat moldable liners.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks.

I got a pair of burton boxers at lunchtime in an end of season sale for a good price. Claim to be aimed at freestylers but felt comfy and secure when on and thats what counts for me.
I decided I could live without their new lacing system.

Tried some vans but they were too narrow, shop were surprised too.
