Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Salt Lake City skiing info?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Has anyone got any information about skiing for a season around Salt Lake City. As I am going to do research at the university of Utah for 12 months at the end of May, and I want to spend as much time on skis as I can get away with.

davidb, what would you like to know?
The 9 main resorts are:
Solitude, Brighton
Alta, Snowbird
Canyons, Park City, Deer Valley
Snowbasin
Sundance

Depending on where you are living, you should be able to get to most of those resorts in well under an hour (and if you are down near Sandy/Midvale, you'll get to Solitude or Snowbird in under half an hour)

Michelle, Sorry, I am on an academic exchange program so can't take anyone with me Sad

Wear The Fox Hat, I will be living in Salt Lake City within cycling distance of the university. I am want to find out which resorts are accessable using public transport? As I don't want to get a car for 12 months.

When I get there I'll try and join the university ski club to improve my technique. I've checked out there website and the facilities look amazing, but not sure if this is just for the competitive skiers.

davidb, Alta/bird and Solitude/Brighton are all on the UTA bus route (I think Park City is too, but it's not a regular one)
