Poster: A snowHead
|
I have a day to ski here next week, looking for tips on the best runs and where to eat for lunch.
Looking on the website there appear to be some yellow areas/runs, I'm hoping these are un-pisted patrolled runs/areas, can anyone confirm?

Yes, I believe they are. The red up on the glacier is worth going up to, I'm told

gregh, I was at Flims/Laax last Saturday. The snow on the pistes was in great condition however the off-piste was a bit sticky. Yes the yellows are marked and un-pisted. My favourite runs are,
The black (35) from the Vorab glacier to Alp Rutschein, the only downside to this run is that the Alp Rutschein chair is very slow and subject to Queing.
The Red (10) La Siala-Grauberg-Startgels
I like the self service Restaraunt on the Vorab glacier or you can get a great steak at the tee-pee at Plaun.

gregh, whatever you do, don't miss out on the Cassonsgrat! Great scenery and great runs. Only downside is that it takes some time to get up there.

Hi Mike,
I assume that is the yellow area off the Cassons lift? I'm staying in Films the night before so it looks like I could drive to the bottom of that area in Films Dors and get straight into that area, would that be a good plan?
regards,
Greg
