Did a search on forum but cannot find the details of a Snowhead who was doing a discount for Valet parking at Heathrow. Can anyone help please, thank you.

Type23, I think you're probably thinking about ace parking at Gatwick .

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Type23, I've used Purple Parking at H'Row lots. Works a treat. Cheaper than the long stay too and no schlepping about on buses.

I've not used the valet service but I have used a couple of the long stay off-airport services.
I used Pink Elephant at Heathrow in January and used Purple Parking last week by mistake.
Pink Elephant were *much* closer than Purple Parking and as cheap. Nice big lowrider buses that run all the time (no need to call) vs a minibus with trailer for PP. 5 minutes transfer for PE vs about 15 for Purple. Total time from pavement to M4 about 25 mins
It took us an hour and 20 mins to get from the pavement outside the terminal to the M4 using PP. (2 or 3 Pink Elephant buses passed whilst we waited).
Also Purple Parking won't pick up from T3 at the moment (no mention of this on their site though - the first we knew was when the dropoff bus gave us a ticket with instructions for coming home). You're expected to walk - with all your luggage - to Terminal 2.
Wouldn't use them again. Would use Pink Elephant. Having had such a nice and easy experience with PE I wouldn't bother with valet.

Have ended up booking up with NCP flightpath located just before tunnel into Heathrow ! works out at £8.75 a day for 3 days. Saving £24 ish on gate price if I just turned up.

For a weekend trip you can't beat the price/convenience of the BAAA web based pre-booked short-term car park. £40 and you are just a few yards away from check-in/arrival. The drive-up rate would be over £125!
Sure, its a few quid more than pre-booked off airport...but totally worth it for the zero hassle.
