I hired these in Lech this year and thought they were good - but, no-one seems to rate them. Why? They had really good grip, and were good for me off piste.

erica2004, My firend Fran has a pair and loves them - haven't skied them myself, but she seems to have adequate grip etc, and although they're very waisted they do seem OK off piste as well.

They're light, quick edge to edge, forgiving go anywhere skis - and if you're pretty energetic with good rythm; great fun in the powder. I used them for three holidays and they took me from intermediate to advanced level no problem, with a smile on my face all the way. A lot of ski snobs knock them and similar skis as being so called "punter" skis. However, for most of us, most of the time, they're great fun.
Pick up a pair cheap ... and enjoy.

I used to have a pair of the old Bandit X and liked them at the time. Lively enough for the piste and reasonable in deper snow too.

I agree with the comments above.
If you lucky you mind find a UK shop with some on sale. Next winter the B1 gets an update. Rossignol have added a little bit more shape so it now skis like the older Bandit XX.

erica2004, They were my first pair of skis a few years ago. I still love them. They are great for days when i'm a bit achey as they are so easy to ski. They are light, hold a good edge and stable at speed. They are greay fun.
